21,75" Artcymbal Op18.1 by Manabu Yamamoto 2145gr (NEW)
This 21,75" ARTCYMBAL by Japanese cymbal artisan Manabu Yamamoto is just amazing! With a weight of only 2145 grams it's super light weight, but somehow he managed to keep enough tension in the cymbal to maintain a nice rebound and stick definition. It's without any patina so the cymbal will evolve in its own course and pace, in tradition of the old K. Zildjians from Istanbul. Over time, I expect the cymbal the become a little dryer and shorter in it's sustain, probably only getting better and better!
The thing that surprised me most with this cymbal is how well balanced the cymbals frequencies and tonal pitch is around the cymbal. Also the big hand formed bell blends in very nice, both in tone as in volume. All in all, one of the best cymbals I've had so far!
