18" K. Zildjian (Istanbul) Old Stamp IIIc Ride 1410gr
18" K. Zildjian (Istanbul) Old Stamp IIIc Ride with a weight of 1410 grams. From the era they still made hand formed bells, giving the cymbals a ton of character and complexity! The IIIc stamp puts this cymbal between 1956-1957, made in Istanbul Turkey.
This particular one is very good as a crash, but has a decay that's quick enough to play proper jazz patterns on it as well. The cymbal has a mild keyhole, but for the rest it's in exceptionally good condition.
I used Vic Firth Peter Erskine Ride sticks for this demo to get a better stick articulation when played as a ride. It also works with regular 5A's, but then it's a bit louder and wilder. The cymbal on the right side of the 18" is a 20" K.Zildjian New Stamp Sizzle Ride with a weight of 1998 grams and 1 rivet installed. These 2 cymbals works surprisingly well together!
