22" Modified Zildjian Avedis Flatride 2571gr

This is a 22" Zildjian Avedis flat ride from the 80s that has been modified by lathing it on the top and bottom side to get it to a weight of 2571 grams and has been hand hammered for extra complexity in the cymbal.

For a 22" the new weight of 2571 still seems high, but flat rides tend to live by different rules when it comes to weight and are all a bit heavier than you'd expect. This one is no exception. It plays and feels like a 2200 gram originally ride would play. You can already tell buy the wobble in the cymbal.

The result is a shimmering very well crashable flat ride with a ton of wooden stik definition, opening up some nice low frequencies when played louder and brightness when played soft. In general, flat rides are really cool, but a good 22" is always something special and so is this one!
