20" Sabian HH 1st Gen Brilliant Crash Ride 2225gr
20" Sabian HH Crash Ride from the late 1980s. I think it's safe to say these came after the 1st gen HH's and are the first run of Brilliant HH cymbals. The cymbal is marked as Crash Ride and has a weight of 2225 grams. At that weight I might call it a Medium or a Medium Light Ride based on today's standards.
The sound is rich and brilliant, as you'd expect from this cymbal. It has a nice palet of semi complex and harmonic tones that blend together nice and easy and well balanced. The sustain is a bit on the longer side compared to other ride cymbals, but I think that goes for every Sabian HH ride from this era. It has a nice warm crash and clear stick definition. Very versatile cymbal.
