This 14" x 3" John Grey Autocrat snare from the 1950s is a narrow shell model with exceptionally crisp penetrating tone, with warm tones, a wide tuning range. The snare has 8-self aliging lugs with side-by-side screws like most of these vintage pancake type snares have. Very cool drum which is pretty rare in this size. Extra nice are the original John Grey snare wires. The snare is obviously in used but very good condition for it's age
