22" Zildjian Avedis Large/Block Stamp Ride om the mid 1950s at a weight of 3320 grams, which seems like a lot, but when you look at the wobble of the cymbal, it shows once again that weight doesn't tell the whole story.
It has that typical 50s Avedis brightness combined with a beautiful low pitch tone and sustain. A full bell sound and smokey, dirty yet articulated stick definition. You can hear this cymbal is still from the period when the Avedis cymbals were all still handhammered as well! To me, this makes a perfect main ride for big band drummers!
The cool thing is that the cymbal is also in perfect condition, which is amazing for a 70 years old cymbal!
