This is such a cool pair of hats. A 13" Zildjian Avedis from the 1960s at a weight of 640 and 700 grams. It's warm, dry, a bit dusty but with the bright Avedis touch at the same time. It has enough weight to have a "choop" but is thin enough to be buttery smooth. When played open or half open it gives you exactly the sound you want from it, without it becoming loud.
All together, these hats are great for both jazz and groovy music. The only thing it doesn't do is being loud. So if you're looking for cutting pair for funk music that cuts through the mix like a knife, this pair might be too soft for you.
