14" x 8" Premier (converted) Super Ace Snare early 1960s
Great snare that originally left the factory as an 14" x 8" tom as part of a drumkit. This "tuna can" tom got, like many others, converted into a snaredrum with all the hardware coming from a Premier Super Ace donor snare. The result is a nice warm en full sound snaredrum with great open and resonant sound (see video)!
All parts are original Premier parts, are age correct and in excellent condition, except for the rewrap. The wrap looks really nice and is in good condition. It is however not very well applied by the previous owner who did the restoration/conversion. The result is that the seam is a bit open and there are some minor bubbles around the shell. Nothing too significant and perhaps something that can be an easy fix.
